Zumbido (Humming / Hum)
Mucha gente comenta problemas de humming en el canal izquierdo, cuando pone válvulas nuevas. Algunas válvulas tienen humming, más alto, más bajo, otras no.
Parece que una solución efectiva al humming es rodar las válvulas durante mucho tiempo. Mínimo 48 horas dejando el amplificador encendido, con el volumen a cero, sin poner ninguna música. Mínimo 48h, otra gente reporta 72h o incluso más tiempo con algunas válvulas.
El método que recomienda un usuario es:
- quitar la válvula de potencia, la 6AS7, dejando únicamente la 6SN7
- dejar el amplificador encendido, de la forma descrita anteriormente, durante 48-72h
- volver a poner la 6AS7
- el zumbido debería haber desaparecido

"I replaced the Shuguang (originally stocked) 6SN7 with Tung-Sol 6SN7GTB. Immediately sound improved. Especially the trebles turned clean and detailed. I can hear wider-spaced and delicate details. Both Shuguang and Tung-Sol 6SN7GTB have loud hums at the beginning. It takes 48 hours of baking/burning-in for the stocked Shuguang 6SN7 to drop its humming. Tung-Sol 6SN7GTB came with super loud humming at the beginning. I almost gave up this Tung-Sol tube the first day. But after 60 hours (be patient) of burning-in, the humming sound completely disappeared "

"Anyone else’s dark voice have a horrible 60hz hum? My Woo Audio amp is silent, but the Dark Voice’s hum is annoying. Common complaint. Still using the tubes that came with it? Done the extended burn in yet? Pull the 6080 Output tube and only install the 6SN7 preamp tube. Power it up and let that 6SN7 burn in for 24-72 hours. Then try installing the Output tube and see if the hum is better."
Fitz Mod
Es una modificación que elimina el problema del humming para siempre y con cualquier tubo 6SN7 nuevo. Consiste en soldar dos condensadores.

Recomendación de especificaciones técnicas para los condensadores: "For the original Fitz mod (reduce or eliminate tube hum), two 220uF capacitors rated 16v+ is required.
